Edifix Review on KOK Edit

Working Space

This week in Edifix news, we've been seeing lots of new friends around the site and our Twitter feed, thanks to an ad we ran in the EFA newsletter. We're so glad to know that people who can benefit from Edifix (in this case, freelance editors), are getting to the site and trying things out.

One editor, Katharine O'Moore-Klopf, was kind enough to write a review of Edifix on her blog, and we were flattered and pleased to hear about how our reference editing, formatting, and linking solves a pain point for her in editing journal articles. She writes:

"...the less time I have to spend on boring, repetitive tasks such as editing 56 entries in a reference list to fit a particular style, the more time I'll have for the get-down-in-the- mud-and-wrestle editing that I love to do."

We hear you, Katharine! For years at Inera, we've delighted editors by helping them take care of the time-consuming and tedious parts of editing that automation is capable of solving. (For publishers, check out our end-to-end solution for editorial to XML workflows, called eXtyles). Aside from being boring, work like editing, correcting, linking, and formatting references is also a huge time sink. As Katharine put it:

"Now all I have to do is decide which pricing plan will work for me, because I can already see that this software is going to save me time, which is money."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Thanks again, Katharine, for the review and for your valuable feedback. You can read the full review here.

In related news, thanks to some increased traffic on the site and interesting inquiries from new and prospective users, we've added new items to our FAQ database. If you're considering Edifix and want to know more about how we can help in detail, this is a great place to begin. If you can't find the answer to your question, our friendly support team is standing by Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, and most inquiries are handled within one business day during those hours, if not sooner.

And finally, Inera, Inc. will be visiting several conferences to spread the word about eXtyles and Edifix and say hello to customers and friends. Our events schedule for the remainder of 2014 is on the Inera website, so come say hi if you're an attendee or exhibitor.
